Zunyi Aluminium 300,000 Tons of Electrolytic Upgrading Project Starts

Recently, Zunyi Aluminum Co., Ltd. held a ceremony for the start of the 300,000-ton electrolytic upgrade project. China Aluminum Vice President Jiang Yinggang, Guizhou Province Economic and Information Committee Deputy Director Wan Huidong, Zunyi Municipal Standing Committee Member and Deputy Mayor Wang Xingnan attended the groundbreaking ceremony.

It is reported that this project is one of the important measures for the implementation of the agreement on the cooperation and development of Chinalco in Fujian and China signed by Chinalco and the Guizhou Provincial Government. It is also an important project for accelerating structural adjustment and giving full play to the industrial advantages of Zunyi City. The technology has a high starting point, a large scale effect, and a strong backwardness advantage. After the implementation of this project, the annual electricity consumption of Zunyi Aluminum will be increased from 1.5 billion kwh to 6 billion kwh, and conditions will be created for the implementation of aluminum processing projects, forming an industrial chain with complete matching of upstream and downstream alumina and aluminum processing. Nearly 10 billion yuan will have a substantial boost effect on Zunyi's aluminum industry to make up for the short board and transitional development, and it will also effectively promote the healthy development of the Guizhou energy resource industry and aluminum industry.
