Nothing is more representative of the summer than the sweet and juicy raspberry. Raspberry grows well in hotter or colder areas as long as there is plenty of sunlight. Method 1: Selecting a species

There are two main types of raspberries. One type is single season, which is mature once every summer, and the other is two seasons. It matures every summer and autumn.

The common single-season raspberry variety Latham's fruit is round and dark red; the Mi Ke strain is also deep red, the sugar content is high and the taste is very sweet; the veramit is firm but slightly sour; the brandy is very fruity. It is dark purple; the fruit of the Black Hawk strain is dark and very juicy.

The common two-season raspberry variety is medium-sized, deep red, with firm flesh and aroma. The golden fruit is golden in color and sweet in taste.

Learn about the color of raspberries. Raspberries are available in red, yellow, black, and black purple. Among them, red and yellow are the sweetest, and black is mellow. Black raspberries are the most difficult to grow because they are very susceptible to disease and the plants are relatively weak.

3

Choose a few raspberries of different maturity, so you can harvest them in the season of raspberries. Mixing early-maturing varieties with mid-late maturing varieties, for example, you can mix the "Algonquin" raspberry and the "Autumn blessing" strain of raspberry.

Consider the climate there. In the north, those cold-tolerant strains should be planted, such as the Boyne, Nova and Germanic strains, while in the south, Dolman red, raspberry and southern varieties can be considered, all of which are relatively heat resistant.

Method 2: Preparation of planting conditions

1

Choose a sunny place. Raspberry is more light, especially when the plant is ready for fruiting. Strong sunshine will make the fruit of raspberry juicy and juicy.

2

It is not advisable to plant raspberries in windy areas. Because the raspberry plants are relatively weak and strong, the wind will blow the plants. Consider adding a fence next to the raspberry or blocking the wind with a strong object.

3

Let raspberries and similar plants around them, such as blackberries or wild strawberries, be at least 30 meters apart to prevent cross-breeding.

4

Make sure the soil is fertile and well drained. Do not plant in low-lying areas, as there may be water that cannot be drained in time.

Make sure your planting area is not smashed. Raspberry is not a plant that needs water. Excessive moisture is harmful to raspberries.

Do not grow raspberries on land that has been planted with thorns, tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, eggplants or roses. Because these plants may leave some germs harmful to raspberries in the soil.

The soil pH is measured and the pH of the raspberry-adapted soil is between 5.5 and 6.5.

You can send soil samples to local agriculture or land agencies for identification.

Mixed waste or compost can be applied. If you want to lower the soil pH, consider adding some sulfur particles.

Method 3 of 3: Planting Raspberries

1

Buy a year old raspberry seedlings. It can be a seedling that is rooted in a plastic pot or a seedling that is cultured in tissue. Make sure the source of the seed you bought is reliable and detoxified.

If seed is used, the seeds should be planted in plastic pots in the winter, using low-nutrient soil that has been sterilized. The seeds are buried about 3 cm below the surface, and the spacing between the seeds is at least 3 cm. After sowing, sprinkle a thin layer of sand on it and place the pot in a cool place.

Spray the seeds with a watering can. Then if the temperature reaches 16 ° C, you can let the seeds see a little light.

The seeds should germinate after about 4-6 weeks after moving outdoors. When the small shoot grows to 3 cm high, it can be moved to the garden.

The time to plant raspberries in the garden should be early spring. This will ensure fruit ripening at the end of summer or in the fall.

Arrange the location of the raspberry planting. Each row is separated by red and yellow raspberries, about half a meter apart. If it is a blackberry, it should be separated farther, and it will take nearly one meter. The row and row are 1.5-6 cm apart. This will ensure that each of them will get enough sunshine in the early days, and when they grow up after a year, they will meet each other.

Dig a small pit for each plant, the depth is guaranteed to bury the roots but not to bury the bottom leaves, which is about 7-10 cm, and dig with a shovel.

6

Put the seedlings in the pit and cover the soil. Be careful to bury the roots, but don't bury the leaves.

7

Cover with a thickness of about 10 cm, such as hay, leaves and the like, to moisturize and protect the seedlings.

Water is poured after planting.

Method 4 of 4: Raspberry Care

1

Water a small amount. Raspberries don't require much water, even on hot summer days. If the weather is not particularly dry, it is enough to pour water every two weeks.

2

Trim your raspberry strain at least once a year, and regular care will make the plant more productive.

In order to have a good harvest, you should remove those vines that are not normal in color and gray, leaving only healthy and fresh branches.

In order to increase the yield, all the vines on the ground were cut off after the results.

For black raspberries, all the side branches are knocked out after the results, and those that are not growing well are also removed. When the results are stopped, all the twigs are cut off, leaving only 4-6 strong vines.

All small, low-density vines should be removed at the end of winter. It usually takes 3-6 of the most robust vines.

3

Fertilize when winter is over. Apply some organic fertilizer or compost to the soil a few centimeters thick on the surface, such as fish emulsifiers, which will make the raspberry grow better. You can also cover the ground with a layer of moisturizing insulation to ensure that the seedlings can grow smoothly.

Raspberry can be harvested at the end of the summer and early autumn. The ripe raspberry color should be very full and it is easy to get rid of the plants. There are also some who have become more sturdy. Try a few before you pick it to see if it’s sweet or not. The darker the color, the sweeter it is.

When the temperature is low in the morning, pick raspberries, and when you pick them, it is not easy to break.

Pick it up and eat it fresh. Although it can be refrigerated in the refrigerator for a few days, it is not bad, but it is best to eat now.

Raspberries that can't be eaten can be frozen and made into jams, desserts, etc.

The control method of grayberry in raspberry is as follows:

After falling leaves in autumn and winter, the diseased bodies such as dead branches, fallen leaves and diseased fruits are completely removed and burned intensively; after the sclerotia is found, it should be buried or burned. In the growing season, the diseased fruit, diseased vine, and diseased leaves are removed, and the drug is sprayed in time to reduce the chance of reinfection.

Avoid watering in rainy days, strengthen ventilation and drainage, so that the relative humidity of the air does not exceed 65%, which can effectively prevent and reduce gray mold. Do not apply nitrogen fertilizer, increase the application of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer to improve the disease resistance of the plant itself; pay attention to the operation of agriculture.

It can be sprayed with Trik WP 600-800 times liquid or Gray mold ke WP 1000 times before flowering and after Xiehua, or with 50% Kuling 1000 times or 40% Shijiale 800 times. However, spraying is prohibited during the fruit period to avoid contaminating the fruit and causing pesticide residues.

hint

If the plant is found to be moldy, apply a stone sulphur mixture before the results.

For raspberries, pruning is very important. To prevent the occurrence of pests and diseases, please trim the branches regularly.

caveat

Plants may develop mildew, which is characterized by the appearance of white powder on the surface.

The gray moldy hairs on the fruit indicate that it has rotted and the decayed fruit on the plant is removed.

Stem blight can cause the wilting of raspberry stems.

Citrus leaf rust can affect your raspberry growth. If you see orange spots on your plants, remove them and destroy them.

Pests such as aphids can cause the leaves to wither and affect the normal development of the plants.
