Epoxy paint hazard characteristics and emergency handling
Introduction: Epoxy paint, also known as H75-4 epoxy asphalt anti-corrosion paint, Epoxy coal far anti-corrosive paint (separate package) H52-31. What are its hazardous characteristics and how do we deal with it?
Epoxy paints are flammable liquids GB 3.3 class 33646. Mainly used for anti-corrosion of underwater and underground mechanical equipment and metal objects.
Epoxy paint is composed of 601 epoxy resin, talc and xylene as component 1, polyamide resin, bitumen and xylene, butanol.
The hazardous characteristics are: high heat and open flame are easily ignited. Inhalation of high concentrations of vapors can cause poisoning.
The types of accidents that need to be identified are: fire and poisoning.
Emergency measures: (1) Firefighting methods: Use foam, sand, carbon dioxide, dry powder, and 1211 to extinguish fire. A small area can be saved with fog water. (2) First aid: The patient should be removed from the contaminated area, rested and kept warm. Serious medical treatment. Skin contamination is wiped clean with thinner material and washed thoroughly with soap.
Storage instructions: (1) Packing mark: Flammable liquid. Packing method: (III) class. Iron listening or iron bucket. (2) Storage and transportation conditions: Store in a cool and ventilated warehouse. Keep away from heat, fire and direct sunlight. Separated and stored with oxidants (including **, hydrogen peroxide), ammonium salts and ammonia. When handling, it should be lightly loaded and unloaded to prevent the container from leaking. (3) Leakage treatment: Cut off all sources of fire first, wear gas masks and gloves, and use sand to absorb and bury it in an empty place. The contaminated floor is scraped with a paint knife.
