Electricity Equipment Investment in May: Focus on UHV, Distribution Network

During the month of April, the UHV AC transmission project in Fuzhou, northern Zhejiang, was started; the demonstration project of Xiangjiaba’s UHV DC transmission project in Shanghai achieved bipolar full-load operation; and the Leshan 1000-kilovolt substation was approved by the project. At the same time, in the first quarter, China completed a total of 10.72 billion kWh of electricity for UHV transmission, an increase of 99.96% year-on-year, accounting for 8.64% of the country's total electricity market.

Nuclear power construction will be dominated by high-performance generating units

In April, Unit 1 of the Ningde Nuclear Power Station was formally put into commercial operation. According to the plan, 4 CPR1000 PWR units will be put into operation from 2013 to 2016.
