There are three methods for separating paper and plastic: thermal separation, wet separation and electric separation.
Heat division method

The mixture of the film and the paper is sent to the heating zone, and the heating box may be an agricultural grain dryer. It is granulated, so that its surface area is reduced, and then its mixture with paper is sent to the air separator. The air stream takes the paper out of the mixture, and the thermoplastic particles fall to the bottom of the separator. This method can almost Separate the plastic from the paper completely.
2. Wet separation method
The lightweight material obtained from the dry separation apparatus is fed to a pulverizer, and the pulverized pulp flows out from the small holes in the sorting plate, and the remaining plastic is discharged from a separation outlet and then sent to the dehydrator. Dewatering, and then sent to the air separator for separation.
3. Electric separation method
The paper-to-plastic mixture is fed into the separator by a vibratory feeder, dropped into a rotating milling drum, and then sent to a corona zone formed between the wire electrode and the crushed, and the paper is attracted to the electrode. The plastic is still attached to the drum, and collects as the drum rotates plastically to the bottom. The humidity has a great influence on the separation result when the method is used. When the humidity of the mixture is 15%, the paper and the plastic can be separated. However, the plasticity will still be contaminated by a large amount of paper. When the humidity is increased to more than 50%, the plasticity and paper can be completely separated.
