The purchase price of industrial producers rose by 0.6% month-on-month and by 3.8% year-on-year. From January to May, the ex-factory price of Chinese industrial producers fell by 4.1% year-on-year, and the purchase price of industrial producers fell by 5.1%.
Ex-factory price:
Statistics show that the ex-factory price of China's rubber and plastic products industry fell by 3.0% year-on-year in January-May 2016, and fell by 0.2% in May, down 3.1% year-on-year.
From January to May, the chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry decreased by 5.6% year-on-year. In May, the month-on-month decreased by 0.4%, down 5.4% year-on-year.
From January to May, the ex-factory price of pharmaceutical manufacturing increased slightly by 0.3% year-on-year. In May, the month-on-month decreased by 0.2%, a slight increase of 0.3%.
From January to May, the ex-factory price of auto manufacturing fell by 1.2% year-on-year, and it fell by 0.2% in May, down 1.2% year-on-year.
From January to May, the ex-factory price of computer, communication and other electronic equipment manufacturing decreased by 1.8% year-on-year, and the month of May decreased by 0.1% from the previous month, down 1.8% year-on-year.

Yu Qiumei, senior statistician of the Urban Statistics Department of the National Bureau of Statistics, said that in May, the ex-factory price of Chinese industrial producers rose by 0.5% from the previous month, and the increase was 0.2 percentage points lower than that of the previous month. Characteristics of the ring change:
First, the price increase of some industrial sectors narrowed, among which the prices of ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing, oil and natural gas mining increased by 2.5% and 12.3% respectively, and the growth rate was 5.9 and 0.5 percentage points lower than that of the previous month;
Second, the price of petroleum processing industry rose by 4.1% month-on-month, and the growth rate was 3.1 percentage points higher than that of the previous month;
Third, the price of coal mining and washing industry rebounded from the previous month, from 0.3% in the previous month to 1.8% in the current month.
In May, the ex-factory price of Chinese industrial producers fell by 2.8% year-on-year, a decrease of 0.6 percentage points from the previous month. In terms of industries, the prices of oil and natural gas extraction, petroleum processing, coal mining and washing, non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing, chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing decreased by 21.5%, 15.6%, 10.2%, 7.7% and 5.4%, respectively. In total, the total ex-factory price of industrial producers in the month fell by about 1.7 percentage points year-on-year, accounting for about 60% of the total decline.
