In 1995, Italy's stone products accounted for 40% of the market, and in 2001, it accounted for more than 31% of the market. On the other hand, the most important export market for the Italian natural stone industry has changed from Germany to the United States. Exports to Germany fell by 15%, exports fell by 23%, and exports to the US only increased by 1%, and total exports fell by 3%.

Regarding the export of Italian stone machinery, according to the statistics compiled by the Italian Stone Machinery Association, the total export value of Italian stone machinery is reduced by 25.46%, the export to Africa is reduced by 20.54%, and the export to Mexico is reduced by 8.5%. Exports to Africa increased by 12.6%, from the import of Italian stone machinery to the 11th place to the fifth place.

It is not difficult to see from these that the world stone processing center has slowly moved to Asia and moved to China.
