With the rapid development of the processing and manufacturing equipment industry, in order to meet the processing needs of different industries, advanced composite turning and milling machining centers, multi-axis vertical machining centers, horizontal machining centers, etc. have been continuously promoted, driving the development of the entire processing industry. Since 2010, our company has introduced the Sichuan Changzheng Machine Tool 10m x 4m Longmen Dynamic Beam Machining Center (Fig. 1). The model is GFC400x100. Its characteristic area is small, and the workbench carries a large weight, which is in line with China's “North Heavy Light†industrial development trend. Used by our company, the following discusses the advantages and disadvantages of all aspects of the use process:

Preface: When it comes to the moving beam gantry machining center, some people will be confused with the Dingliang gantry machining center. These two machining centers are very different: 1. The moving beam gantry machining center is a workbench fixed. The gantry frame mobile machining center, the gantry frame makes front and rear (X-direction) movement on the bed, the cross slide moves left and right (Y-direction) along the beam, and the milling head ram moves up and down (Z-direction) along the cross slide. 2. Fixed beam machining center is a kind of worktable movement. There is a DC or AC servo motor through the structure of worm, ball screw and rack and pinion to realize the front and back movement of the table on the bed (X axis). The door frame is made up and down (W axis), the cross slide is moved left and right on the beam (Y axis), and the ram is moved up and down (Z axis) by the moving beam gantry machining center. The movement of the table is ensured by the precision of the guide rail. This machining center has a large area, which is 2-3 times that of the moving beam gantry machining center. This is the difference between the two machining centers.
First, the advantages:
1. The frame design structure of the moving beam gantry machining center is that the whole machine is cast with high-strength cast iron, which has high wear resistance and thermal stability. The upper and lower lifting of the beam can realize the processing of large parts, and the spindle end face and the beam are compact in structure. High rigidity and strength, equipped with multiple automatic timing and quantitative lubrication devices, which can realize lubrication functions of transmission parts such as X-direction, Y-direction, Z-direction heavy-duty linear guides and ball screws, saving oil and extending machine tool use. Life expectancy and reduce unnecessary waste.
2. The Z-axis guide rail of the moving beam gantry machining center is a square quenched guide rail with high rigidity and good vibration absorption. The spindle drive adopts the German planetary gear structure. The German AC servo spindle motor is transmitted to the milling head spindle through the ZF two-speed gearbox + one-stage gear transmission. It has low speed and high torque and a wide constant power range. It is equipped with an oil cooler to cycle cooling the gearbox, control heat generation, small temperature variation range, low noise, high torque and high power processing and smoothness. The spindle is equipped with a right angle milling head and a 90° universal milling head (Fig. 2). The powerful large-flow cooling system can fully cool the machining parts and prolong the service life of the tool , which can meet the processing conditions such as vertical, side, angle milling, drilling, boring and tapping.
