Dalan Motor explains the four types of three-phase asynchronous motor windings in detail, how many do you know?
The stator windings of three-phase asynchronous motors are all distributed windings. The editor of Dalan Motor will introduce the types and characteristics of their commonly used windings today.
1. Single layer winding
The single-layer winding is a winding in which only one effective side of the coil is embedded in each stator slot, so its total number of coils is only half of the total number of slots of the motor. Single-layer windings are divided into chain windings, cross-chain windings, concentric windings, and cross-concentric windings according to the shape of the coil and the arrangement of the termination parts.
(1) Chain winding
It is composed of single-layer coil elements with the same shape and width, and it is named because each coil at the winding end is like a chain link.
(2) Cross-chain winding
When the number of slots per pole per phase is an odd number greater than 2, the chain windings cannot be arranged and arranged. In this case, cross-chain windings with single and double coils are required.
(3) Concentric winding
The winding is composed of coils with different pitches in the same pole phase group. All coils in the polar phase group are named around the same circle center.
(4) Cross concentric winding
When the number of slots per pole per phase is an even number greater than 2, cross-concentric winding is used.
The advantages of single-layer concentric winding and cross-concentric winding are that the winding and embedding of the winding are relatively simple, but the disadvantage is that the coil ends are too long and consume too much wire. Now even useful in small-capacity 2-pole 4-pole motor, currently rarely used.
Second, the double-layer winding
The advantage of the double-layer winding is that any suitable short-distance winding can be arbitrarily selected to improve the electromagnetic waveform, and fractional slot windings can be used to weaken higher harmonics. After using double-layer windings, the electromagnetic performance, power performance and starting characteristics of the motor are better than single-layer windings.
(1) Double laminated winding
When the number of slots per phase of the double-stacked winding is an integer per pole, each pole-phase group consists of q coils connected in series.
(2) Double-layer wave winding
Mostly used in rotor windings of large and medium-sized three-phase wound rotor motors and stator windings of large motors. Because the wave winding is mostly made of flat copper wire bent to form a coil, the manufacturing process is relatively complicated.
