California company breakthrough in nuclear fusion research

The private company in California, Tri Alpha Energy, made a breakthrough in nuclear fusion research: it built a machine that could form super-heated gas spheres and maintained it for 5 milliseconds before the gas ball spread out. This doesn't sound like an impressive achievement, but the researchers stopped because the machines used up energy.
Scientists believe that if the company's scientists can maintain a higher temperature and longer time, it will be able to reach the stage of fusion release energy. In addition to researching fusion ventures, the most important items of nuclear fusion are the US$20 billion International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor and the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Ignition Device.
