General Measurements 1. Use a probe to make two thickness measurements at one point. In the two measurements, the split faces of the probes are 90° apart, and the smaller one is the thickness value of the measured workpiece.

2.30mm multi-point measurement method: When the measurement value is not stable, take one measurement point as the center, perform multiple measurements within a circle with a diameter of about 30mm, and take the minimum value as the measured workpiece thickness value.

The precise measurement method increases the number of measurements around the specified measurement point, and the thickness change is represented by a constant thickness line.

The continuous measurement method is continuously measured along the designated route using a single point measurement method with an interval not greater than 5 mm.

The grid measurement method places a grid on the designated area and records the thickness according to the point. This method is widely used in high pressure equipment, stainless steel lining corrosion monitoring.

Precautions

a. When the power supply voltage is low, the low voltage symbol is displayed on the left side of the LCD screen. At this time, in order to ensure the normal measurement of the instrument, please replace the battery in time.

b. When the backlight is not needed, try not to turn on the backlight for a long time so as not to consume the battery power too quickly.

c. The surface of the sensor is acrylic resin, which is very sensitive to the re-scratching of the rough surface. Therefore, press it as gently as possible during use.

d. As soon as possible after the measurement, the couplant on the sensor surface, the standard test block, and the couplant on the surface of the measured object should be cleaned.

e. The surface temperature of the measured object does not exceed 60 degrees, so as not to cause the sensor to measure normally.

f. When the instrument is not used for a long time, the battery should be taken out to prevent the battery from leaking and causing damage to the instrument.

g. Try to avoid oil, moisture, and collisions.

h. When inserting or pulling out the sensor, the activity jacket should be pinched along the axis. The sensor head must not be rotated to avoid damaging the sensor cable core.
