Shishi textile and apparel industry ushered in policies favorable

In accordance with the spirit and requirements of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the City of Shishi will be carefully planned to develop high-end manufacturing of textiles and garments. It will emerge from the quagmire of low-end competition and play its first-mover advantage and comparative advantage, and it will certainly create a new situation for the development of Shishi textile and clothing industry. Earlier this month, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China issued the "Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Transfer of the Textile Industry". The eastern region must position itself in the development of high-end textile and garment manufacturing. The Shishi Dyeing and Finishing Trade Association which entered the high-end market strategy at home and abroad and the Shishi City Casual Pants Association were encouraged to receive this national policy message.

Shishi textile and apparel industry has a strong desire to actively develop high-end manufacturing. Fujian Province is the country's top five printing and dyeing industry bases. Shishi City ranks the mainstream of the printing and dyeing industry in Fujian Province. However, the scale has exceeded the conventional development, and the production capacity has been seriously over-abundance. The long-vehicle continuous printing and dyeing production capacity exceeds 50%. Under the pressure of reality, Shishi Dyeing and Finishing Trade Association requested member companies to solve this problem by developing high-end fabrics and developing international high-end markets.

Shishi City's casual trousers industry has reached more than 70% of the domestic market share, and has now shrunk to less than 50%. Therefore, Shishi Casual Trousers Association decided to adjust the strategic development direction and implement the strategy to expand the international high-end market. The pilot company was designated last year and initially achieved success.

Shishi textile and garment industry has a comparative advantage in developing high-end manufacturing. For example, the Shishi leisure trousers industry has entered the era of computer intelligence in terms of technical equipment. The penetration rate of production-frontline computer flatcars is nearly 100%, while other domestic trousers industry bases are still basically at the level of electric flatcars. The lion and lion garment industry with 20 years of industrial civilization precipitation is far behind the other emerging apparel industry bases in terms of staff quality and research and development capabilities.

Shishi textile and apparel industry has successfully started the development of high-end manufacturing. In the printing and dyeing industry, many companies have entered the R&D and production of high-end fabrics in various ways. Shishi Hongyi Dyeing and Finishing Weaving Co., Ltd. has turned all its production capacity into the production of high-grade woven fabrics for small batches and varieties. Shishi City Hongli Dyeing & Garment Co., Ltd. has produced 85% of its production capacity for knitted fabrics in the high-end market in Europe, America and Japan. Members of the Shishi Casual Pants, such as Weipai, Bertini, and Meng Qiuqiu, have entered the EU and the US and Canada markets, and some casual trousers fabrics have reached more than 100 yuan/m, which is 4~5 times higher than the cost of domestic popular fabrics. The FOB of export products is US$15/piece, which is nearly 50% higher than the in-house ex-factory price.
