Refractory Industry Innovation Alliance established in Luoyang

The strategic alliance for technological innovation in the refractory industry was officially established in Luoyang recently. The alliance consists of 21 industry backbone enterprises, research institutes and universities. Sinosteel Luoyang Refractory Material Research Institute Co., Ltd. is the chairman of the company, and 7 companies, including Shenyang High-Temperature Materials (Group) Co., Ltd., are deputy directors.

According to reports, the alliance will aim at advancing China’s technological innovation in refractories and industrial restructuring and upgrading. It will establish a long-term and stable cooperation mechanism for production, research and cooperation, and organize alliance members to carry out technical cooperation on key issues of industrial technological innovation. The core technology of industrial development forms important industrial technology standards; establishes a public technology platform and achieves effective division of labor and rational connection of innovative resources. The alliance will also establish a mechanism for the sharing of intellectual property rights, implement technology transfer, and accelerate the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements so as to promote the development of the member units themselves.
