Recently, the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China approved the "Technology No. [2010] No. 38" for the "New Technology of Low Temperature and Low Voltage Aluminum Electrolysis", "Multi-metal Capture Technology for Oxygenation and Oxygenation," and "Key Technology Development for Titanium Smelting and Titanium Alloy Processing." "Study on key technologies for energy-saving and emission reduction in the process of magnesium smelting and magnesium alloy preparation" is organized and implemented in the key projects of the 11th Five-Year National Science and Technology Support Plan. The special funds for the four projects were 50.56 million yuan, 17.37 million yuan, 34.55 million yuan, and 17.07 million yuan, respectively, and the completion dates were December 2010 and June 2011 respectively. These two technologies are of great significance for the current use of science and technology to support the financial crisis, promote energy-saving emission reduction, and realize the revitalization plan of the non-ferrous metal industry.
In 2009, the State Council was listed as "the key advanced technology for promoting industrial rejuvenation." Through the development of Φ2600 large-scale sieve-free boiling chlorination furnace and 12-ton large-scale magnesium reduction-distillation combined with furnace sponge titanium production technology, it will significantly improve the production technology and equipment level of sponge titanium in China. Through the development of profile extrusion technology and technology, it will fill the domestic gap and meet the demand for high-quality titanium materials in the aviation industry and other fields. Through the development of integrated application technologies for energy-saving and emission reduction in key processes of magnesium production, the energy consumption of magnesium smelting products in China will be significantly reduced, and the total energy consumption will be ≤ 4.5 tons of standard coal per ton, to achieve cleaner production of magnesium, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and achieve zero reduction of magnesium solid waste residue. Emissions will play a positive role in guiding and demonstrating the fundamental transformation of the growth mode of China's magnesium industry.
