1. In 2009, Jiangsu promulgated the “Administrative Measures for Energy Efficiency in Buildings” to clarify the policies and methods for the mandatory installation of solar energy.

The summary of implementation standards for solar thermal utilization in Jiangsu Province is to implement the spirit of the “Renewable Energy Law of the People's Republic of China” and the “Notice on Strengthening the Popularization, Application and Management of Solar Hot Water Systems” of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Construction, and to regulate the construction plans of solar hot water systems. The preparation of design documents led the technical progress of solar energy products. The Jiangsu Provincial Engineering Construction Standard Station and Jiangsu Provincial Construction Engineering Design and Construction Drawing Review Center and other organizations prepared the “Depth Regulations for the Preparation of Construction Drawing Design Documents for Solar Hot Water Systems in Jiangsu Province”, in 2008.
