Biodiesel industrialization demonstration project started

In order to encourage and standardize the development of the biodiesel industry and prevent duplication of construction and waste of investment, the National Development and Reform Commission recently approved CNPC Nanchong Refinery Co., Ltd. in accordance with the overall thinking and principles of the development of the biofuel industry, combined with relevant national policy requirements and the deployment and arrangement of industrialization work. The chemical plant has 60,000 tons/year, Sinopec Guizhou Branch 50,000 tons/year, and CNOOC Hainan 60,000 tons/year 3 small tung oil biodiesel industrialization demonstration projects.

To develop biodiesel as a complex system project, selecting a large state-owned oil company with experience in the development of biofuels and being able to shoulder heavy responsibilities is of great significance for the development of the biodiesel demonstration project. It mainly cultivates, guides and regulates the development of the biodiesel industry from the raw materials to the market, gradually accumulates experience, and forms complete sets of technical measures and management methods for the production, storage, sale, and use of biodiesel for vehicles. Lay a solid foundation.

At present, biofuels have become the main route and direction for alternative fuel oil, and China's biofuel ethanol has achieved phased results. While non-food fuel ethanol has been steadily advancing, it has also launched a demonstration of biodiesel industrialization with greater market space and potential. The time is ripe. Through industrialization demonstration, we will endeavor to explore the technological route and industrial development model for the biodiesel industry that suit China's national conditions, and promote the steady and orderly and healthy development of China's biological liquid fuels.
