The hazard of floating oil is to swell and deform some materials of the cutting fluid system, interfere with the emulsification balance of the emulsion, and make the emulsion lose stability. Moreover, the floating oil often floats on the surface layer of the emulsion oil, blocking the contact between the emulsion and the air, causing the emulsion to be deficient in oxygen, allowing the anaerobic bacteria to rapidly multiply and accelerate the spoilage of the emulsion.

When the emulsion changes from milky white to taupe and a stinky odor occurs, the fungicide should be added immediately to kill the bacteria or replace the emulsion. At present, the commonly used low-toxic fungicide is Sandan oil, and the addition amount is about 0.1% to 0.2% (for the diluted emulsion), which has obvious effect on prolonging the life cycle of the emulsion.
Generally, phenolic fungicides are highly toxic and cause pollution to waste liquid discharge, and have been used less frequently.
pH (range 1 to 14 broad-spectrum test strips): Under normal circumstances, the pH should be between 8.3 and 9.2 (the specific range is subject to the manufacturer's technical specifications). The pH of different emulsions is different. When the tendency of the pH value is lowered, the rust resistance of the emulsion is drastically lowered. Therefore, it is necessary to add a new cutting fluid or add a pH increasing agent (such as sodium carbonate) in time to increase the pH value and keep the pH at 8.3 to 9.2. When the pH of the emulsion exceeds 9, the microorganisms are difficult to reproduce.
During long-term shutdowns such as holidays, air should be regularly blown into the tank to prevent the growth of anaerobic bacteria and to remove odors.
When injecting new liquid, remove all the chips and oil stains around the machine tool and the liquid supply system, and add the new liquid after disinfection with the fungicide. If it is not cleaned, it will be equivalent to the spoilage of the new liquid.
5 Machine corrosion
The water-soluble cutting fluid has good cooling performance, but the damage to the machine tool can not be ignored. The corrosion of the water in the water-soluble cutting fluid is drastically affected by the machine tool, and the degree of damage is gradually increased, which lasts for a long time and is difficult to attract the attention of the user. Even if it is harmful to the extent of the failure, the user will generally not pay enough attention to the problem of the cutting fluid. Such accumulated corrosion will lead to a reduction in the machining accuracy of the machine, which will greatly shorten the service life of the machine until it is scrapped. The main disadvantages are the following:
The water has poor lubrication properties and can wash away the grease on the machine and the grease that seals the bearings.
Corrosion of the metal surface, although the water-soluble cutting fluid is added with anti-corrosion components, it is only useful for the workpiece to be processed, and has little effect on the machine tool. The function of the corrosion inhibitor is to maximize the chemical passivation of the workpiece surface. When the machine is working, due to the evaporation of water in the cutting fluid, the relative humidity of the air generated in the working area of ​​the machine tool is as high as 100%. When the machine stops working, the moisture in the air condenses into water on the metal surface of the machine tool, and the corrosion of the machine tool is difficult to avoid. .
The water in the water-soluble cutting fluid is an electrolyte, and a machine tool with different internal materials may become a potential "battery". When the water-soluble cutting fluid infiltrates, the water in the cutting fluid may cause electric corrosion of different metals in contact with each Other, and the electric corrosion may cause rust, which may affect the accuracy of the machine tool and the operation is difficult;
Bacteria in water-soluble cutting fluids are another cause of corrosion and at the same time accelerate corrosion. The high bacterial content in the cutting fluid may change the chemical properties of the anticorrosive agent in the cutting fluid, making it ineffective. Moreover, the propagation of bacteria may cause corrosion, and the corrosion rate between the machine components is significantly increased. If the water used to dilute the cutting concentrate is poorly soiled and contains more minerals, the likelihood of corrosion will increase.
