Research and test reactor core aluminum technology appraisal meeting held in Baotou Aluminum

It is reported that a few days ago, the Inner Mongolia Science and Technology Department organized experts to conduct technical appraisal and review of the 6061 aluminum project for research and development of nuclear reactor fuel elements jointly developed by China Aluminum Corporation Baotou Group and China Nuclear Power Group No. 022 Plant.
Entrusted by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the meeting was chaired by Zhang Tiejun, Director of Science and Technology Bureau of Baotou City. The expert group unanimously agreed that the research and development of aluminum-coated research reactor fuel assemblies use 6061 aluminum to meet the technical requirements for nuclear-grade aluminum, reaching the domestic advanced level, filling the blank of the autonomous region, and the social benefits are very significant; through the The material is tested, the product performance meets the relevant technical requirements; Baotou has advanced production equipment and technology, has a good quality assurance measures, has the conditions for mass promotion of production, and meets the technical qualification requirements; at the same time, it is recommended that the two sides strengthen cooperation and the The product is applied to the actual production of a nuclear reactor.
