CNC machine tools have advantages that are unmatched by ordinary machine tools in terms of machining accuracy, automation, production efficiency, and labor intensity. However, the cost of purchasing new CNC machine tools, especially large CNC machines, is often high, which often makes many users look forward to it. In particular, developing countries like China have limited funds, so most machinery factories want to buy and can't afford CNC machine tools. How to obtain CNC machine tools with less investment is a problem worth exploring. Can you upgrade the original machine tool without buying a new CNC machine tool to make it a CNC machine tool? The answer is yes. The experience of upgrading in the past few years tells us that this is promising, not only has good practical performance, short cycle, but also saves a lot of money. The larger the machine tool being modified, the more money it saves. The following is an example of CNC remanufacturing performed by our company:
CNC upgrade
The numerical control upgrade of the large-scale vertical car imported by Tianfa Hydropower Heavy Equipment Co., Ltd. is a typical example. This machine tool is the Toshiba product imported from Tianjin Heavy Machinery Factory in the 1980s. After years of use, the machine tool performance is still good. However, with the changes and development of products, the functions of ordinary machine tools can no longer meet the requirements of new markets and new products. In order to be able to turn arcs and surfaces, CNC two-axis interpolation is required. Faced with the needs of production, such as the import of a 6500 CNC vertical car with the same specifications, it requires more than 15 million yuan, which is impossible for the Tianfa Heavy Plant at that time. In this case, the factory found my company and hoped to upgrade the machine.
First determine the transformation plan of the machine tool. In line with the principle of satisfying the processing requirements and saving as much as possible, after repeated negotiations, it was finally determined that only one of the two tool holders of the original machine tool was modified. In this way, only a single-channel CNC system is required, and two ball screws and two servo motors are replaced, which can save money. After the transformation, the two-axis interpolation can be realized to realize the turning of the arc and the arbitrary curve.
The second is the implementation of the remanufacturing program, the transformation of the mechanical part of the machine tool: the transformation of the right tool holder x-axis. Replace the original trapezoidal screw (80×10×7560mm) with imported Rexroth ball screw; remove the original gearbox and drive the lead screw with the toothed belt to minimize the transmission clearance; trim the beam x-axis guide; Sliding seat, guide rail plasticizing; shaving x-axis pressure plate, striping.
Modification of the right tool holder z-axis. Replace the original lead screw (63×10×3600 mm) with imported Rexroth ball screw; remove the light bar drive, increase the servo motor drive; trim the z-axis guide; repair the z-axis plate and the strip.
Design and manufacture of machine tool electronic control system. The FANUC 0it CNC system is selected; the FANUC AC digital servo motor is selected; the domestic joint venture low-voltage electronic control component is selected; the machine control logic diagram is designed and developed.
Finally, the machine tool electromechanical joint adjustment. Debugging the x-axis and z-axis of the machine tool; debugging the geometric accuracy of the machine tool; debugging the coordinate precision of the machine tool, detecting the accuracy of each axis with a dual-frequency laser. The machine tool auxiliary function was debugged and the machine was operated continuously for 36 hours.
After the transformation, the machine tool performance is stable and reliable. After more than one year of production verification, the transformation requirements have been met. The transformation cost of 1 million yuan is only equivalent to 1/15 of the purchase of new CNC machine tools, saving a lot of money for users. The machine tool has made great efforts for the production of volutes in hydropower equipment, creating a production value of tens of millions of yuan.
CNC upgrades need to pay attention to the problem
What kind of machine is suitable for CNC upgrade and remanufacturing? Experience has proved that vertical horizontal lathes (especially large vertical horizontal lathes), gantry milling upgrade CNC gantry milling, gantry milling upgrade CNC gantry milling, horizontal boring and milling machines upgrade CNC horizontal boring and milling machines, vertical horizontal grinding machines upgrade CNC grinding machines The transformation effect is ideal.
CNC upgrades must first redesign and remanufacture the mechanical parts of the machine tool to meet the requirements of numerical control. Simply adding servo motors and CNC systems is not an upgrade goal. To do this, generally do the following:
Replace the original trapezoidal lead screw with ball screw to improve the precision and reduce the friction; repair the scraping guide rail and plasticize or directly adopt the linear rolling guide; refine the spindle system to improve the spindle precision; design the automatic cooling chip removal system to improve the machine tool automation Degree; if necessary, increase the tool change mechanism - the tool magazine robot; design and manufacture automatic lubrication system.
The CNC system and servo system must be determined and selected during the transformation. The function of the CNC system is not as good as possible, and the price of a system with more functions is generally more expensive. Domestic systems and import systems should be selected as needed. It should be acknowledged that there is still a gap between the domestically produced system and the imported system, and it is generally preferred to select an import system for large-scale high-precision equipment. However, in recent years, domestically produced systems have made great progress, and they have been reliably used for general lathes and milling machines. The servo motor should first select the AC servo motor.
The choice of remanufacturing CNC upgrade contracting companies is also very important. To choose a company with qualification certification, the current remanufacturing industry is still very irregular. The price of the same machine tool is very different, sometimes the difference is as high as 2-3 times; the existing performance of the contracting company should be investigated; to the contracting company On-site investigations, companies that do not have a fixed site and have no stable technical team can't do it anymore. A good remanufacturing company must have strong mechanical and electrical design capabilities and must have certain processing and manufacturing capabilities.
