PhD student Hanbyul Joo said: “Single shots allow you to see 500 images of a person’s hand and automatically annotate the hand position. Hands are too small to be annotated by most devices, but for this study we only use 31 HD cameras, but still able to build a huge data set."
The team is working hard to convert from a 2D model to a 3D model for better recognition.
