Recently, the key project of "Renewable Energy and Hydrogen Energy Technology" "Special Fundamental Research on High-density Hydrogen Storage Materials and High-Efficiency Hydrogen Storage System" project implementation plan demonstration meeting was held in South China University of Technology. More than 50 people including Fang Jundong, the president of South China University of Technology, and the leaders at all levels, project leaders, project leaders, and key members, implementation plan demonstration experts, and special office representatives attended the meeting.

The project leader Professor Zhu Min of South China University of Technology gave a report on the core content of the project implementation plan. The participating experts proposed the requirements of the hydrogen storage system application environment for hydrogen storage materials, the establishment of the hydrogen storage material database, and the summary of the highlights. The opinions provided suggestions for further improvement of the project implementation plan.
At the meeting, the representative of the special office introduced the overall deployment of the key special project of "renewable energy and hydrogen energy technology", combined with the study of the spirit of the scientific and technological management reform document recently promulgated by the Party Central Committee and the State Council, and exchanged the relevant requirements of the process management of the key R & D plan. He hopes to further clarify the hydrogen storage material system and hydrogen storage system design plan, give full play to the role of the project implementation plan, making it an important starting point in process management. For basic research projects, the team should strengthen communication.
The project is geared towards the needs of high-density safe hydrogen storage, researching the theory and method of high-density hydrogen storage based on hydrogen storage materials, researching new materials for high-density hydrogen storage, developing bidirectional catalysts for reversible hydrogen absorption / desorption reactions, building high-efficiency reversible hydrogen storage systems and non-hydrogen storage systems Reversible and controllable hydrogen release system, establish hydrogen storage material database, and put forward high-density hydrogen storage and transportation strategy research.
