Development and application of quenching medium air cooler
ã€Abstract】 The air cooling system is used to replace the water cooling system to cool the quenching medium, and the secondary heat exchange is changed to primary heat exchange, which can significantly improve the cooling capacity. This paper describes the structure, working principle and application status of the quenching medium air cooler. The application results show that the air cooler has the characteristics of power saving, water saving and environmental protection.
The traditional quenching medium cooling adopts the water cooling method of the plate heat exchanger and the cooling tower, and has many disadvantages, especially oil-water heat exchange. If the heat exchange wall of the plate heat exchanger leaks, the water seeps into the high temperature oil and becomes a water vapor, which may cause an explosion; and because the cooling tower is in the atmosphere, dust and impurities easily enter the cooling water, so that the plate heat exchanger is replaced. The hot surface generates dirt, which causes the heat transfer performance to deteriorate, and at the same time consumes electricity and consumes a large amount of water. The aging of the quenching oil and the volatilization of the oil and gas cause pollution to the surrounding environment.
Quenching medium air cooler (ACQM) adopts air cooling system instead of water cooling system. It has the characteristics of stable operation, reliability, low maintenance cost, power saving, water saving and environmental protection. It is a major innovation in the field of quenching medium cooling. The product was awarded a patent certificate (Patent No. X) by the State Intellectual Property Office of the People's Republic of China on October 13, 2004.
For a long time, the research on heat treatment process and quenching medium has been paid more attention to in the industry, but less attention has been paid to the temperature control and cooling effect of the quenching medium. In fact, the latter is also an important factor affecting the metallographic structure and mechanical properties of the heat-treated workpiece. The application of ACQM will play an active role in improving the temperature control accuracy and cooling effect of the quenching medium.
